Why, you may well ask, is En Brogue telling me about sandals in October? Is she MAD? Well yes, just a little bit. But when I had the opportunity to order this pair of Ancient Greek Sandals a couple of months ago, I couldn’t resist. LOOK AT THEM.

I love this brand. I wore and wore my first pair this summer and they just got better each time. The leather is the kind that you usually only find in Mediterranean markets; it smells fantastic and has a wonderful sturdiness to it. I’m going to pack these away in their dust bag for safekeeping (don’t you just love it when shoes come with their own bag?). What I must remember to do this spring, though, is check the sandals shelf in my shoe cupboard for recent purchases, or risk making the same mistake I did earlier this year…

These By Larin sandals look brand new, right? Well that would be because I bought them in February and then forgot about them until September. September! What a fool. They’re such great sandals too: they come with interchangeable ankle straps, so you can go for a full pewter sandal or add a flash of green if you’re feeling more colourful. It’s just a shame I’ve only worn them twice. Now, excuse me while I book myself a winter sun holiday so these beautiful shoes can actually get worn.
