Rogue Matilda has collaborated with Freddie Harrel…

…and the rest of this week’s Shoes News

They’re calling them Frogues. And there’s a poodle in the campaign shots. What’s not to love?!

I visited Katie from Rogue Matilda a few months ago and was lucky enough to have a sneaky peak of this gorgeous collaboration but I was sworn to secrecy until the launch this week. But now I can speak! Meet Frogues – a brilliant collection from the ever-sunny award-winning fashion blogger and influencer Freddie Harrel.

Frogues ‘Winnie’, £185 (roguematilda.com)

Regular readers of this blog will be familiar with Rogue Matilda already, but if you’ve never come across Freddie I highly recommend checking out her Instagram account. As well as having the most infectious smile, I love Freddie’s use of bright colours in her outfits, the frequency that she wears a good trouser suit, and her fantastic collection of flats; she always looks great. So it’s no surprise that her capsule collection is absolutely gorgeous.

Frogues ‘Anissa’, £169 (roguematilda.com)

The three styles – Winnie, Anissa and Charlie – are named after three of Freddie’s best friends, and each has its own distinctive personality. My personal favourite is Anissa (above) – it’s a go-with-everything shoe but with added interest in the texture of the croc-effect and suede tassel. They’re the sort of shoes you’d wear and wear for years. That said, you could say the same about the other two styles too! Which are your favourites?

3 of the best…white booties

1. Mango white booties, £49.99 (mango.com); 2. Free People ‘Byron’ ankle boots, £148 ([AD] freepeople.com); 3. Vagabond ‘Emilia’ boots, £125 (vagabond.com)

There’s a chill in the air, and there’s something lovely about celebrating that with a white boot. There are loads of heeled versions around this season; completely flat ones are pretty hard to find but I reckon the mini cuban heel on these from Mango is just about manageable, as is the Free People flatform. These also just so happen to look brilliant with checks and autumnal colours. Ideal for November!

Hotel chic in a shoe
