Showgirl shoes without the stilettos

Dondoks Mely sandals, €325 (dondoks.com)

Dondoks is a new brand founded by two friends, Carmen and Charlotte, and I think you’re going to love it! Borne out of a frustration of not being able to find fun, colourful, flat sandals, the girls had the idea to start their business in 2015. The designs are inspired by their lives which are really interesting, as they’re both ballet dancers and showgirls in Paris, as well as having latino roots. Which might explain the flamboyant nature of the shoes!

Their first collection, which the pair I am wearing are taken from, consists of four styles in four colour options. They are beautifully made, and I love the unusual design and colour combination. Although I haven’t had the chance to wear them out yet (but the weather is looking promising next week!), they certainly feel very comfortable at first wear.

The second collection will be landing soon, and features some more colours of the Jaja style with frill that you see below. These are pretty much the perfect summer party shoe! As you can see from the prices, these are high end shoes – the quality is great as they are all handmade in Brazil. But that’s where I come in, because I’ve got an exclusive discount code that will get you 20% off!

The special offer is valid from today (April 14th) for three weeks. To take advantage, simply use the code DondoksGirl and you’ll get 20% off your shoes. Ideal if you’re searching for a statement pair of shoes to get you through wedding season, or even if you’re a bride-to-be looking for something a bit different! The prices are all in Euros, but they ship to the UK no problem. Happy shopping!

Cult sneaker label SeaVees has come to the UK!

Monterey sneakers, £55 (uk.seavees.com)

Until this week, your best chance of getting hold of some of this California label’s sneakers was to pick up a pair at J. Crew, or go to actual America. Now, the UK website has launched, which makes it much easier! I love the straightforward styles, and the prices are really good too.

My footwear is not just my footwear

When Disko Kids got in touch with me and asked if I would like to try one of their T-shirts and sweaters, my answer was a big fat yes! Because not only do I love that all of their logos are inspired by music (Helen, the founder, is a DJ, and her partner Chris is a music producer), but one of their designs features a pair of roller boots. So that’s obviously the one I went for!

The brand started as a childrenswear label, but they now do ladies’ sizes too. All products are hand screen printed in the UK, and some designs come with extra good news, too; a percentage of the profits from the ‘We Are Family’ and ‘Disco’ designs go to charity (you can read more about that here).
