Mums with Grace

I love it when two women team up to realise a dream, and that’s exactly what happened when Claire from shoe label Air & Grace collaborated with Zoe from popular blog dresslikeamum.com to create their perfect trainers – two pairs of ULTRA snazzy kicks which went on sale yesterday.

If you’re not already familiar with Zoe’s blog, her aim is to abolish the stereotypes of “mum dressing”. I love her style and particularly her attitude (see above pic for details!), and these shoes reflect her mission perfectly, I think. And if you’re not familiar with Air & Grace, I can confirm that they are as comfy as they look (I have a pair of boots from when the brand first launched and they have a delightful squidgy insole). Loving your work, ladies!

Three of the best…black Chelsea boots

OK, this might seem like quite a boring 3 of the best, but we all need a good pair of black Chelsea boots in our lives. I dug my age-old pair out this week which are Stuart Weitzman for Russell and Bromley (sadly no longer available) because they go so well with a winter floral dress and tights (my new one is from Arket, I highly recommend!). Here are my favs on the high street right now.

In praise of socks and sandals

OK, I realise you are either a socks and sandals fan, or you very much aren’t. I am – in fact, I plan to do a chunky winter sock with my Birkenstocks some time over the weekend. So sue me.

Anyway, I was thrilled to see this socks and sandals campaign from walking sandals specialists Teva. Some of you might remember I went on a trip to Portugal with Teva last year (read about that here), and was thrilled to discover that most of the staff at the party we went to wore pulled up socks with their Tevas. This is a brand with a big sense of fun. So I can’t say that this campaign surprises me. Enjoy!

Oh, and if you like the sandals, they are all less than 50 quid from teva.co.uk.
