Dune Loves Rupert Sanderson
I do have a few pairs of designer shoes, but I don’t write about them too much on this blog as I know, like me, you guys tend to shop more on the high street. So I reckon you’ll be thrilled to hear that Rupert Sanderson, the high end London-based shoe designer, has teamed up with Dune to bring out a range of shoes this summer. I’m lucky enough to have a pair of Rupert Sanderson loafers (they were a sample, so I didn’t pay a fortune for them!) and they are LUDICROUSLY comfortable. I wore them until my toe came through the sole. Don’t worry, I had them repaired! But you get the gist – I love them. Most of the styles in the Dune collection are heels, and there are some block heels that I’m sure many of you will be able to wear too, but I’m really taken with these Bowie-inspired flat sandals. How cool? They’re available from April 1st and will cost £145, dunelondon.com.
White Stuff now stocks other brands! And they’re really nice ones!
Exciting news – White Stuff, a brand which I would like to also mention is dog friendly in all of its stores, as Mr Brogue recently found out in his other guise, Man About A Dog Blog – will be stocking shoe brands other than its own from this Monday. Not only that, but some of them are brands that you already really like! Superga and Birkenstock arrive next week, as does Spanish espadrilles brand Carmen Saiz. Head in store or to whitestuff.com from Monday 20th March.
Socks that help save tigers
Socks specialists Look Mate have teamed up with the WWF and designer Rick Berkelmans to create these cool socks with a tiger design that not only look great, but help with tiger preservation as well; 20% of profits go directly towards saving tigers. Talk about shopping with a clear conscience! While you’re there, check out the other socks in the Look Mate range – all are collaborations with different designers and they are SERIOUSLY snazzy!
