Good News sneakers

The first good news I bring you this week is literally that; a brand new sneakers brand called Good News. They don’t actually launch until February, but I spotted some teasers on the Instagram account of my new favourite sneaker store, Kicks Love in Deptford (I’ve got an interview with founder Lisa coming next week, so watch out for that), who will be stocking the ‘Hurler’ style in black (pictured) and I just had to tell you about it right away. Founded by Ben Tattersall and Nia Jones, they are all simple baseball styles in fantastic colours. I also love the way they have shot their images! Turn up-tastic! The best bit is that the prices are brilliantly affordable – £50 for the low tops and £60 for the high. Roll on February!
Three of the best…winter woolly trainers
‘Eden’ sneakers, £114 reduced from £285, alexanderwang.com
Converse One Star Woolrich, £52.50 reduced from £75, kickslove.com
Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Premium, £83.99 reduced from £120, store.nike.com
I’m really feeling my snuggly textured trainers at the moment – I have some Clarks Originals Trigenics in a lovely grey wool that are sadly not available anymore that just feel so right for January – so I thought I’d round up some of the best that ARE available. The good news here is that they are all in the sale! You’re welcome.
GH Bass launches Colour Wheel
from £125, ghbass-eu.com
GH Bass – inventors of the penny loafer (true fact! Check out my book En Brogue: Love Fashion. Love Shoes. Hate Heels. for the full story) – have brought out their classic ‘Weejun’ loafers in bright colours, the first time they have done so in Europe. Good news? I have a pair of Weejun loafers in oxblood and can report that they are ludicrously comfortable.
So that’s it – let it never be said that I am the bearer of bad news!
