Marks and Sparks’ embroidered trainers

Floral embroidered trainers, Β£29.50, marksandspencer.com

This time of year I spend a lot of time at press days – that’s where brands showcase what will be in stores in a few months – and this week I visited Marks & Spencer. Sometimes the annoying thing about press days though, is that you want all that lovely stuff NOW, something that hasn’t gone unnoticed at good old Marks and Sparks. These embroidered trainers (along with a load of other accessories) are officially from the spring collection that will go in store in January, but you can buy them RIGHT NOW! And at only Β£29.50, what’s not to love?

Laces Out!

This week I am mostly being annoyed that I don’t live in Liverpool. Or at least that I didn’t plan a trip there this weekend. Because on Saturday November 19th, the city plays host to Laces Out!, a one-day festival dedicated to sneakerheads. Head to Camp and Furnace on Greenland Street for a gathering of rare and vintage sneakers to buy, swap or just ogle over, as well Q&As, live performances and DJ sets. Tickets are Β£8 each and available to buy from lacesout.co.uk.

Oybo illustrations…by me!

Clockwise from top: ‘Snow Pic Nic‘, €26; ‘Grandma‘, €26; ‘Pepper‘, €26 – all oybo.it

If you don’t follow me on Instagram, you might not know about my obsession with a sock brand called Oybo. They make deliberately slightly odd socks, and they are wonderful. So I was thrilled when they asked me to illustrate some of their new season styles. And I thought you might like to see them too! I highly recommend the socks; as well as looking amazing, they are really great quality. Oh, and are really good fun to paint, too!
