Velcro brogues and the rest of this week’s Shoes News

Rogues’ New Mules

Clockwise from top: Cosmic Red, £165; Cosmic Black, £165; Pomme Gris, £185; Cosmic Mint, £165 – all

Brand new next week from fab British brand Rogues are these snazzy slip-on loafers. They come in three shades – red, mint and black – all made from softest suede with a ‘cosmic’ finish. If you’re not familiar with the brand, you can read more about them here, as I’ve been a fan since the very beginning! The heels on these loafers are almost too high for this flats fanatic but I wanted to show you anyway as I think they’re amazing for party season. For a slightly lower heel, try the classic style which this season comes with pom-pom laces. Cute as hell. Available to pre-order now; shipping from November 7th.

Weber Hodel Feder’s amazing Velcro brogues

Left to right: ‘Sacramento‘ in leather and sheepskin, £546.69; palm tree print, £474.12; ‘Sundance‘, £285.44 – all

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen some incredible multi-coloured versions of these shoes on my feed when I stumbled across them at Paris Fashion Week. Those particular shoes aren’t available just yet (I will let you know when they are!) but I wasn’t really aware of the brand before, so I thought I would tell you about it. The signature style of Weber Hodel Feder is Velcro brogues and I LOVE them! I’m particularly taken with the white ones as they come with a gum coloured crepe sole. Divine.

News about me!

Some of you may have heard that the magazine I work for as Fashion Features Editor – my day job! – is closing. I’ve had an amazing time working at InStyle for the last three years, but as there is no longer a print edition I am leaving. It’s very sad…but it means I am going to work on En Brogue full time. Which is very exciting! So you’ll be getting far more content every week from me and I’ll be able to keep a much closer eye on the flat shoes world. I wouldn’t be able to do this without you lovely lot reading this blog so I wanted to take the opportunity to say a big fat THANK YOU!
