“air cushioned soles, I bought them on the Portobello Road”

The premise of today’s post is simple: shoe songs. I quite often find myself humming ditties that have shoes in the lyrics (it’s a subject at the forefront of my mind most of the time, obvs), so I thought I’d link some of my favourite tunes to stuff you can actually buy and wear on your feet. And while you’re at it, have a little sing along too. Enjoy!

Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes, by Paul Simon (listen here!)

Chance jewel bow slipper, £215, russellandbromley.co.uk (BUY ME HERE!)

OK, so these Russell & Bromley slippers have crystals on the edge of their heels, but it’s close enough for me. And perfect for party season!

Little Black Sandals, by Sia (listen here!)

These GORGEOUS chunky sandals from Northern Cobbler aren’t available until the end of February, but I for one can’t wait! They will be £185 from northerncobbler.com.

Blue Jeans, by Blur (listen here!)

Air Max 1 Essential, £95, store.nike.com (BUY ME HERE!)

It’s the first line of this song that’s relevant, especially if you’re a fan of Nike Air Max. I’ve been meaning to customise a pair for ages now…might be a nice Christmas treat for myself!

Goody Two Shoes, by Adam Ant (listen here!)

Molly geek shoes, £32, topshop.com (BUY ME HERE!)

I’m a closest Adam Ant fan; my favourite song is actually Deutscher Girls, but that’s far less shoe-y. I highly recommend watching the video to this one too. Taking it quite literally – here’s a pair of goody two shoes from Topshop.

High Heeled Sneakers, by Tommy Tucker (listen here!)

Molly 1 sneaker, £120, swear-london.com (BUY ME HERE!)

I’ll leave you with one of my favourite songs ever, which annoyingly is about high heels, but I love it so much I HAD to include it. The shoes are just mini wedge sneakers though, so I figured that’s OK.
